Born in the Highlands of Scotland, John is a 21 year-old media student, driver, commentator and fully fledged motorsports nerd. After years of competitive sim racing, in 2014 he made the jump to real cars.
John won the Scottish Top Ten Sprint Championship (at his first attempt) and become the youngest person to do so. After moving to circuit racing the following year, he took the 2016 BARC Max5 Championship title.
Mixing Hillclimb and Sprint competition with endurance racing and commentary means, John covers every aspect of the sport and is incredibly excited to be staying with TWP Racing for a second season.

More usually spotted in the paddock fitting tyres, Nick first raced in 2008 in MaX5 after retiring from his first sporting love of rugby in 2003.
Motorsport arrived quickly after a chance visit to "the Ring" and several hundred laps later the ex-design engineer was running a track day company and a motorsport based tyre fitting business.
Being in the car that took TWP's inaugural win in 2018. It was fitting that as one of Rockingham's in-house ARDS instructors Nick also took the chequered flag in first place in the last ever Citroen C1 24H race at the Northamptonshire circuit.

"We had a fantastic first year together, picking up multiple podiums and a pole position despite our fair share of bad luck. I have every confidence that the team can deliver more success throughout 2019. I hope to build on my racing and commentating careers Ibn the future, and there is no better place to be right now that with TWP."

"The racing goal this year is to gain an understanding of the challenges of endurance racing and to secure the class & overall title. Outings in different championships will be a bonus and I'd like us to win there too. Lets just win everything in 2019! Longer term aspirations are focused around full time GT campaigns in the UK or abroad." - Gavin Johnson
"2019 is a particularly exciting year teaming up with TWP / Glyndwr Uni / PDC Racing and a group of highly motivated and supportive industry partners. It's a real step into a professional racing setup from every side. I'm excited to see what we can all achieve together." - Gavin Johnson

"The goal for 2019 is to smoothly transition from the retired MK1 MX-5 that took 3rd in Class in the 750MC Club Enduro Championship, (don't know if it was a championship), in 2018 to the MK3, partnering with John Munro and seeing the full potential of that car and get the results that it frequently so narrowly missed out on last year."
- Nick Dougill.
Nick represents the Indian tyre giant MRF in the UK, supplying the very competent ZTR tyres that proved so successful last year and a very significant factor in making the retired MK1 so successful.

"Time to try something different. Last year I raced many different cars, from the Citroen C1 to the Pontiac Late Model. From hillclimb to oval, via histories and Stock Hatch, it was great. Variety is a great cure for the disillusioned. But it's time to focus on a proper season again. After driving as a one-off for TWP at Rockingham last year, I felt this was a team that matched my values as well as offering a step into the world of endurance racing." - Pip Hammond.
